Prevent Restore is a tool that applies overwrite algorithms to free disk space, replacing data with random characters, spaces, or random digits. It should be noted that Prevent Restore does not delete existing files, but is dedicated exclusively to what has already been deleted. Before starting, it calculates the estimated time to complete the operation and offers the option to shut down the computer as soon as it is finished.

If you clean the Recycle Bin on your computer, files and folders are not deleted forever. Anyone can use special recovery software and restore deleted data (files and folders) because any deleted file still exists on hard drive until it is overwritten with other data.

The main purpose of this software is to make it impossible to recover files and folders that were deleted in the past. The software uses various security algorithms (DoD 5220.22, Gutmann, and others). As you work, this software fills in the information to the end of each cluster, leaving no chance to restore a single word!
Additional Features
Prevent Restore can erase deleted files on any disk, for example: usb flash, SSD, memory card or any other type of removable disk (media storage). However, you cannot use it on a CD (CDR, DVD): such discs must be physically burned to avoid any chance of recovery. As an additional feature, the software can clear the Windows operating system paging file (virtual memory cache) that contains cache of personal information, for example: user names and passwords.
