Sooner or later, every user must undergo the rite of reinstalling Windows and / or Office. The methods that Microsoft offers to download the ISO images from its operating systems are not very direct, let us say, which leads us to use external tools. However, there is always a reasonable doubt about where these images came from, especially if they were obtained via BitTorrent. If you want to know how to verify Windows and Office ISO images, the first step is to download a copy of Windows and Office Genuine ISO Verifier.

The last thing we need is to install Windows and find out that the used ISO image came with an unexpected gift. The idea is to restore the operation of the computer, not fill it with malware from the beginning, and the most effective way to avoid it is to verify the integrity of each ISO before it ends up on a USB stick, or burned on a DVD. Several portals are dedicated to sharing SHA-1 hashes for the verification process ... but we cannot deny that it is a tedious task. So how do you check Windows and Office ISO images without wasting too much time? The answer is found in an application called Windows and Office Genuine ISO Verifier.

The program does not have an installer, therefore, it is enough to decompress the RAR file in a temporary folder and open its executable. Indicate the path of the ISO image you want to verify, click the Verify button, and wait. In less than a minute, Windows and Office Genuine ISO Verifier will do the necessary calculations and compare your result with the registered SHA-1. And that's basically it. If the image is intact, the software will present the Genuine message in green. If there is any kind of alteration, the Not Genuine warning will appear in red.

If the image tries to pass as legitimate, maybe you should think twice about using it, but if it was you who modified it (either integrating controllers or slipstreaming), then the Not Genuine becomes protocol. Windows and Office Genuine ISO Verifier can verify multiple versions of Windows (from XP to 10), and Office as of 2003. Its only local requirement is the .NET Framework 4.0. StopWinUpdates is an application to enable or disable Windows and store automatic updates. StopWinUpdates is portable, but it works and looks like an installer that we found confusing. Double-click the executable and choose your options. By default, if you want to disable Windows Update, that is checked by default. You'll see prompts, again, that make it seem like the program is installing, but it's only applying your changes.

Additional notes:
1- What made me make this tool is to disable updates while store apps download/install works
2- I don’t recommend disabling windows update service while it will be needed while installing some programs that will need to install needed updates if they not included in the system, also some Visual C++ do the same ( Normal user wont know what we talking about so it’s better to disable update without making another problem for him )
3- This tool don’t replace any system files, it’s all about editing registry/Disabling services/editing permissions
4- I’m not an script expert but i try hard to do things the right way, with help from expert people, many of them here at MDL :worthy: So my respect to all of them
5- If you will use this tool to disable updates you must use it to enable it before using any other tools, Same with other tools

In case of problems on Windows related to OpenGL rendering, you can disable it completely by applying a registry setting (only needed if LibreOffice crashes on startup, otherwise you can disable it in Tools|Options → LibreOffice → View). You can find the necessary fragment in Bugzilla (save with a .reg file extension, then you can double-click on the file to apply the change.

The prerequisites for a LibreOffice installation on Windows systems are the following:
