Descriptions:
Android-x86 is a free and open source project that aims to bring Google's operating system to Intel and AMD machines with RISC architecture instead of the ARM of the mobile devices where it is normally used.
In this way, what started as a project to run Android on certain netbook models has become a fully functional operating system applicable to many hardware combinations, being able to install it as an operating system on a desktop computer and even make it coexist with others on the same machine. In fact, Android is based on the Linux kernel.
When starting Android on a PC, it will believe that we are using a tablet, although we can use it perfectly with keyboard and mouse and even use shared resources of the machine such as the Internet connection or USB ports, features that with each new version are added .
In addition, it is possible to virtualize Android through known programs for this purpose such as VMWare or VirtualBox, where it will be much easier for us to configure and test the operating system.
There are some obvious differences, such as the fact that very few applications will work correctly, so if you want to install Android to play, there are better options like the well-known Bluestacks. This project has its true potential for use by developers; in fact, several applications and configuration tools are included by default for this purpose.
